I constantly had to question them to make sure that she got the right medicine at the right time. The medicines I had to bring in because they didn’t have them we’re not kept up with nor dispensed accurately even missing the dosage completely a time or two. My mother had to be on blood thinners which as everyone knows exacerbates a patient who is inclined to fall and it did. My mother got a blood clot because it was like a tourniquet on her arm and when I brought it to their attention, I was the one that was reprimanded and told by the administrator that I had made one of their employees cry, which made me feel awful and deflected any responsibility on their part., if they only knew how many times they made me cry during her stay. Fortunately she did not however the head nurse that was there rather than taking off her shirt simply pushed her sleeve up on her arm for them to insert the device. They never did it on the schedule I wanted them to do it on, I was scared she would get a urinary tract infection. At that time I was having to catheter my mother three times a day and they did not have very good equipment so I had to bring mine from home and help the nurses who seemed to have very little experience do it. I asked the head nurse about it and she sent someone in there to clean it up. The next day, at 10 AM I went in to see my mom and the needle in her arm and the equipment they used was all bloody. They call in an outside source to do this and as I explained to the doctor, I wanted to be there, unfortunately the outside contractor did not get there until midnight when I had already left thinking they would do this the next day. When I got there it was a big problem and they did not want to access the port, they wanted to put it in her arm even though she has a lot of difficulty with veins. I explained to them that my mother had a port that could be accessed easily and I was told that would be no problem. Unfortunately what they told me on the phone did not line up with what they had available for her care when we entered the facility. The place was fairly clean with a very welcoming lobby and a nice outdoor courtyard. They tell you everything you want to hear when you’re scared and don’t know where to go. They allow you to bring your dogs up there for a visit if they have all their shots. The place is centrally located right off of I 30. Because my mother had multiple comorbidities, I’ve always been very hands-on with her care.įirst the good, the person answering the phone was very pleasant.

They do not allow you to go in before 10 AM. My mother was there for two weeks and I was there every day from 10 o’clock until six or later. I wanted to find someplace close that had good therapist so I picked this facility because I thought it was a skilled nursing facility as well as a rehabilitation center. I love all of you.TlBailey My mother broke her leg in June 2021. I told everybody it’s not just the place it’s the people that make the place. “I was here once before when I fell, and I’ve never had a place like this. “The doctors, and the people here are so sweet…I can’t tell you what this place means to me,” Ms.
